KARACHI: This is with reference to your obituary report of December 27 titled “Y. Bhaimeah, who loved food and teaching math in equal measure, dies”.
I took his course in 2001 when I was studying for my A levels at Beaconhouse. He was preparing us to appear in the first year A-level math exam. Because of the long syllabus we had extra classes at seven in the morning and he would always arrive on time. I also had the opportunity of participating in a bake sale with Mr Bhaimeah and in our annual fair we also had a stall where we sold ‘aaloo masala’ made by him. It was among the most popular stalls in the whole fair and we used the money that we got from it to decorate our school common room
