In jamrud: Two armed groups attack check post

An official of the political administration said Khasadar personnel retaliated, but the attackers fled

JAMRUD: An armed group opened fire at Hawaldari Chowki (check post) in the neighbourhood of Jamrud, Khyber Agency Friday evening while another kidnapped a transporter. “Two unknown armed groups appeared near Hawaldari Chowki of Khasadar force, located 3km away from Jamrud,” an official of the political administration said, adding, “One of the groups opened fire at the post while the other abducted an automobile trader, Akhtar, who was driving through the area.” He said Khasadar personnel retaliated,but the attackers fled.
