LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on Friday from the Defence B SHO on a petition seeking a case against 47 people for attacking the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and forcibly closing its gates.

Younus Jatoi, the manager administration of the National Management Foundation, told the court Barkat Ali and some others had been involved in a civil litigation with the NMF. He said that on September 14 Ali and 46 other men attacked the university and blocked its main gates. He said the SHO had been requested to take action against them but he did nothing.
