HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) raided the Kotri taluka hospital in Jamshoro after receiving complaints of huge embezzlement of funds during the last several years. The raiding team took away the financial records of the last three years from the hospital. The circle officer of ACE, Ghulam Ali Bozdar, said that they have received complaints of embezzlement of funds worth around Rs500 million since 2010. “The air conditioners bought for the hospital can’t be seen, drugs procurement was allegedly done without tender, and money was eaten up over fuel and vehicle maintenance,” he said.  Sources in the ACE said the hospital’s deputy medical superintendent, Kausar Soomro, is willing to testify against the officials allegedly involved in corruption.
