PKF confirms Kabaddi World Cup invitation
Punjab Sports Board yet to issue directives, says body’s secretary
KARACHI:
The Punjab Sports Board has received an invitation from the Indian authorities to participate in the upcoming Kabaddi World Cup, according to Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) secretary Mohammad Sarwar.
The mega event will be held from November 15-29 in India for both men and women.
However, the PKF has not been to be directly contacted for the event yet. Punjab officials have also not given them any directives.
It should be recalled that the national team had returned from the event’s last edition with a bad taste in their mouths, complaining about the unfair attitude of the Indian officials. Despite this, their neighbours have asked Pakistan to send its teams of men and women for the tournament.
