This has been done in a bid to rectify their poor start to the season which has seen them drift eleven points behind the current league leaders Manchester City.
The reigning champions have been forbidden from all sorts of banter by the manager until they turn the season around and start producing results.
The side has now turned its their attention to the Champions League clash against Maccabi Tel-Aviv on Wednesday night. And a failure to get a positive result would place Mourinho under some serious scrutiny.
Therefore, this move has been taken by the Chelsea manager to give the players a wakeup call that it’s not all fun anymore and they need to get down to business and save their season.
However, Tel Aviv boss Slavisa Jokanovic, has warned them that they should not expect an easy ride.
"My interests are now with a different side and I will try to hurt them more and damage them in this moment," said Jokanovic, according to Mirror.
"I am trying to push myself, I am concentrating on this game and looking to demonstrate what I can do for Maccabi."
