MoU: Making grounds for olive plantation
Solar panels will be placed and olive and other plants cultivated using drip-irrigation system
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (Parc) and Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) on Monday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for large scale cultivation of olive in Balochistan and Cholistan. Parc will provide technical assistance and plants to PCRWR. Solar panels will be placed and olive and other plants cultivated using drip-irrigation system. “Through this joint venture, neglected lands can be utilised for olive and other fruit plants cultivation,” said Parc Chairman Dr Iftikhar Ahmad.
