Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced on Monday that Zul Hajjah moon was not sighted anywhere across the country, hence Eidul Azha would fall on September 25.

According to Express News, the committee meeting was held at the Meteorological office in Karachi after which its chairman announced the date for Eidul Azha.

However, on September 13, a local crescent-sighting body in Peshawar had decided Eidul Azha would be observed on September 24 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting headed by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai was held at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan for establishing the start of the month of Zul Hajjah.

Zilhijj Helaal has been seen by Muslims from Australia to the Americas, the nearest place to us where it has been seen is Lanka (Ceylon). Did Allah make any promise to anyone to show the Helaal on their roofs? Does Allah recognise the boundaries of countries? No. The Ulamah will have a hard time on Yaumulqiyamah explaining to Allah that when they have got the Shahadut of Helaal sighting from Australia to the Americas what made them them reject Allah's command conveyed through those Shahadut. The Shahadat is available to see on: http://www.moonsighting.com/1436zhj.html. This evening people will see moon of 61 hours i.e moon of second day. Moon enters 2nd day at an age of nearly 44 hours. Can the newspapers or the people themselves download and print the Shahadut. People should take these to show to their mosque Imaams? Yes every Muslim is duty bound to Allah to do so.
