A health team led by the EDO was attacked during a visit to Mohallah Chah Sultan to verify presence of dengue virus on Sunday.
According to the Waris Khan police, two of five accused were arrested while the rest escaped. The police registered a case.
EDO (health) Dr Nasir Mahmood told APP the team was in the area to verify reports about detection of dengue larva when they were attacked without a reason.
Dr Nasir said collective efforts were needed the fight the virus.
