Jan Achakzai quits JUI-F over differences with leaders
Besides working as the central spokesperson, Achakzai remained a close aide of Fazlur Rehman
Central spokesperson of the Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and close aide of Fazlur Rehman, Jan Achakzai announced his departure from the party, citing "a negative and baseless campaign" against him by "some party leaders" as the reason.
“I presented JUI-F’s stance at every forum and countered every criticism aimed at it, but some leaders of the party seem unable to understand this and initiated baseless propaganda against me,” Achakzai said on his official Facebook account on Friday.

“I found this utterly dismaying, as targeting me actually caused damage to the party,” he said and added, “In such circumstances when I am not being supported by these leaders, it is impossible for me to continue as the spokesperson of the party.”
He, however, said he found JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to be patriotic and highly sagacious and enjoyed his support and guardianship during his stay.

Meanwhile, Achakzai also shared on his Facebook account a news story depicting his rift with another central leader of the party and deputy chairman Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and that the party had failed to settle their differences.
