The officials got a 90-day remand for Basi and he was sent to prison
FAISALABAD:
Asif Ramazan Basi, a yarn merchant who had gone missing on Monday, was produced by officials of the Counter Terrorism Department in court on Thursday. The officials got a 90-day remand for Basi and he was sent to prison. Basi and his friend were picked up while he was travelling on Jaranwala Road at night. He is accused of financing a proscribed outfit. Earlier this week, the Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association, Faisalabad Zone, had expressed concern over Basi’s disappearance and had threatened to strike if he wasn’t found.
