According to Pakistan Rangers, Punjab, these talks are held alternately in India and Pakistan. Rangers and BSF will discuss professional matters related to border management.
In order to avoid losses to innocent civilian lives and properties, the delegation will discuss issues pertaining to unprovoked ceasefire violations, smuggling and safe and early return of inadvertent border crossers. These talks will be held at New Delhi from September 9 to 12.
Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid told the media that DG Rangers would raise persistent violation of Line of Control and Working Boundary in his meeting with BSF chief.
He said Pakistan wanted negotiations with India on the basis of equality in light of the United Nations charter. "Pakistan has no nefarious designs against any country. It wanted good relations with neighbouring countries for eliminating poverty and ignorance in the region. We are ready to resume talks with India without compromising our solidarity and sovereignty," he said.
Regarding making Urdu as official language, he said an implementation committee had already been formed by the prime minister for the purpose. Practical measures would be taken soon to implement the court decision in this regard, he added.
