LAHORE: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is trying to hide behind the Supreme Court, Aleem Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s candidate for NA-122 by polls, said on Wednesday. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a campaign office at Shalimar Road in Garhi Shahu, Khan urged Sadiq to face the reelection. The PTI provincial leadership was also present at the ceremony. PTI Punjab organiser Chaudhry Sarwar said that the 2013 general elections had been rigged. He said that there were no rifts in the PTI. “We are all united under the leadership of Imran Khan. The ECP is not taking notice of the government’s plans and actions to rig elections despite reservations expressed by opposition parties,” he said. Shoaib Siddiqi, the PTI candidate for PP-147, said the momentum created by the people of the constituency had forced Sadiq to flee rather than face the people.
