Former captains Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja have officially signed contracts with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to act as brand ambassadors of the Pakistan T20 Super League (PSL) for the next three years.

A top official of the Board revealed that Wasim and Ramiz had held meetings with the PCB in Lahore on Monday and agreed to represent PSL.

"Their contracts also clearly state that they will have nothing to do with the planned Masters League T20 event next year in UAE," the official said.

He added that PCB chairman Shahryar Khan will also be selecting two other former players who will be assigned with the task of advising him on cricketing affairs.

"That is a decision that will be made by the chairman himself as far as Wasim and Ramiz are concerned they will be working with the PSL secretariat," the official said.

He further added that "We are sure that Wasim and Ramiz will play important roles in promoting and selling the PSL globally and further enhancing the image of Pakistan cricket."
