LAHORE: An accountability court on Monday extended until September 21 the judicial remand of former Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab president Qasim Zia and Usman Saeed. They are accused of a Rs80 million fraud. The court directed the NAB to apprise it of progress in the investigation.  Speaking to the media, Aitezaz Ahsan, counsel for the suspects, said the PPP was being victimised. “Nobody talks about the Rs17 billion corruption in the Nandipur power project.” He said the provincial government had completed the Rs45 billion Metro Bus project without issuing a tender.
