Impediment in justice delivery : IHC, district courts short of judges

There are only nine district and sessions judges for Islamabad against the sanctioned number of 15

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) and Islamabad district courts are functioning without full strength. According to available documents, the sanctioned strength of civil judges and judicial magistrates in the IHC and lower courts is 52. Currently, however, the court is working with 48 judges. Similarly, the sanctioned strength of additional district and sessions judges in Islamabad is 30. However, there are only 17 judges at present. Similarly, there are only nine district and sessions judges for Islamabad against the sanctioned number of 15.
