Foiled: ‘Suicide vest’ seized

ISLAMABAD: The Tarnol police claimed to have seized a suicide vest soon before the Defence Day celebrations were to be started in the federal capital on Sunday morning. According to the police, the vest was found along a stream at Sarai Kharbuza and the bomb disposal squad defused it. The police, however, made no arrests in connection with the suicide vest. A case has been registered against unknown persons under the anti-terrorism act, the police said.
