Nutritional needs: Japan providing $5m grant to TDPs

The ambassador also visited WFP Nutrition Facility in Jalozai camp

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Hiroshi Inomata,on Thursday visited Jalozai camp and met the temporary displaced persons (TDPs) receiving support from Japan through UNDP and WFP. Japan is providing a $5 million a year grant to meet the nutritional needs of women and children in the Jalozai camp. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, UNDP Country Director, Marc-Andre Franche and WFP Country Representative, Lola Castro, were also present. The ambassador also visited WFP Nutrition Facility in Jalozai camp where acutely malnourished children, pregnant women and lactating mothers receive treatment.
