University town: Fumigation drive kicks off

Mosquitoes can spread diseases and people should take all the necessary precautions

PESHAWAR: An 11-day fumigation drive has been kicked off in University Town in the city, stated a press release issued by the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) on Wednesday. The drive is aimed at curbing the spread of mosquitoes which cause diseases. “During the first two days, Palosi will be fumigated,” read the statement. “On the third day, our teams will rid Shaheen Town of mosquitoes after which Tehkal Bala and Tehkal Payan will be fumigated.” According to the press release, WSSP General Manager Operations Nasir Ghafoor Khan has urged the public to assist teams conducting fumigation. “Mosquitoes can spread diseases and people should take all the necessary precautions,” read the statement.
