Rounded up: Two police impostors among 20 arrested

The Islamabad Police have arrested 20 suspects including two police impostors and seized cash, weapons and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.


A police team of Karachi Company Police Station busted a two-member gang involved in looting people portraying themselves as police officials. The gang members were identified as Jamal and Jasam Arif, residents of North Nazimabad Karachi. The police also recovered cash from their possession.

During investigation, they confessed to their involvement in snatching cash from people. The Kohsar police arrested Shoaib and Kashif and seized a dagger and a wine bottle from them. The

Margalla police arrested Muhammad Ali and seized a 9mm pistol along with 30 bullets from him. The Khanna police arrested Mohsin Hhan and seized five litters wine from him.

The Nilore police arrested Zulfqar, Ataur Rehman, Muhammad Shams Alam and Alif Bin Niaz for decanting cylinder illegally.

The Koral police arrested Ahmed Bakhsh and seized a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered.
