Nation celebrates 134th birth anniversary of Mohammad Ali Jinnah

Day begins with Change of Guard ceremony at Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi.

The nation is celebrating the 134th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah today (Saturday).

The day began with the Change of Guard ceremony at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi. The ceremony and parade were led by Commandant Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Major General Mazhar Jameel. A contingent of cadets from the PMA, Kakul mounted the guard at the mausoleum. Lady cadets also participated in the ceremony.

The government has declared the day a national holiday. The national flag will be hoisted atop all government buildings today to celebrate the occasion.

GGD | 14 years ago | Reply Jinnah was in the likes of statesmen that history has produced only in few numbers. I still imagine how Pakistan would have been today had it run properly - and if East Pakistan was still ours. Truth is bitter :(

Ahmer Ali | 14 years ago | Reply Assalam-o-Allaikum Warahmatullah.I have no words to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam and I can only write these words here,id est,there was and is any leader in the like Quaid-e-Azam in whole Sub-Continent and there is no comparison of Quaid-e-Azam but sadly our corrupt leaders no doubt badly destroyed the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam's dreams.
