LAHORE:

Lahore Division Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal on Wednesday praised the Lahore Ring Road Authority police for its efforts.  He was speaking at a ceremony for distribution of appreciation certificates among the officials.

He said strict implementation of the speed limit on the Ring Road had ensured safety of road users.

The commissioner said it was remarkable that no robbery on the ring road had yet been reported. He said the number of accidents reported on the ring road had also declined over time.

He said performance had been the only criterion in the selection of police officials for appreciation certificates. He said he hoped the award of the certificate would boost the morale of the officials. Certificates were given to Chief Patrol Officer Safdar Mehdi, Senior Patrol Officer Aasia and Patrol Officers Tanveer, Irfan, Usman, Zahid, Noreen and Furqan.
