Hamza Ali Abbasi responds to Saif Ali Khan's anti-Pakistan rant
You have to admit, the Pakistani star does have a point!
Saif Ali Khan's recent comments have irked many Pakistanis. The Bollywood actor's film Phantom has been banned here after JuD chief Hafiz Saeed filed a petition in the Lahore High Court claiming its content posed a threat to his life.
The visibly upset Saif then went on to say he doesn't have faith in Pakistan. One Pakistani in particular took Saif's comment to heart and in fact reacted strongly to his statement. No points for guessing; it's Hamza Ali Abbasi.
The Pakistani star was quick to update his Facebook status following Saif's rant:
While Hamza's Facebook statuses are usually mocked, this time he seems to have won fans over. And you have to admit, he does seem to have a point. No Pakistani reacted as bitterly to the ban on Waar and Bin Roye as Saif has to the ban on Phantom.
With more than 39k likes, almost 4k shares and over 5k comments on his post, fans shared the same sentiments as the actor:
While Saif may have lost faith in our country, Hamza seems to have restored faith among his fans.
