Fighting extremism: Ethical journalism termed vital

Fazle Karam said the Pakistani media violates ethical standards of journalism in the race to grab the number one spot

HARIPUR: Independent judiciary, political stability and a free but responsible media are crucial to eliminate extremism. This was the crux of a training workshop put together by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan on Monday. Young lawyers, media persons, human rights activists and academics were amongst those who were in attendance. Speaking on the occasion, HRCP Regional Coordinator Fazle Karam said the Pakistani media violates ethical standards of journalism in the race to grab the number one spot.
