Sabira Bibi’s Killing: Murder case adjourned till Sept 5

Khokhar is the brother of former National Assembly deputy speaker Haji Nawaz Khokhar

RAWALPINDI: The hearing of a murder case against Imtiaz alias Taji Khokhar has been adjourned till September 5. The additional district and sessions judge hearing the case, Tahir Khan Niazi, was murdered at his home earlier this month. Since the killing, the alleged perpetrators of which have been caught by the police, no new judge has been appointed to the case. Khokhar is accused of murdering a woman, Sabira Bibi, over a land dispute in August 2012 in Dhoke Gangal. The Airport Police had registered an FIR against him and several others, including Khokhar’s sons. The suspects were sent to Adiala Jail in 2013. Khokhar is the brother of former National Assembly deputy speaker Haji Nawaz Khokhar, associated with the PPP.
