Nab Action: Two held over property scam
They were accused of giving false evidence for change of the documents of a plot Evacuee Trust Property Board
ISLAMABAD:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested two suspects on Saturday as part of investigations into the illegal sale of land belonging to Hindu community in the Umerkot district of Sindh. The detained men, Rana Akhtar Ali and Kamran Ali, both residents of Umer Kot, were accused of giving false evidence for change of the documents of a plot Evacuee Trust Property Board. The property, bearing survey No A-50 measures around 3,000 square yard, was worth around Rs50 million, a press release of NAB said. NAB has already arrested the main accused Aziz Rehman Kalhoro, ex-Mukhtiarkar Umer Kot, Ali Akbar Babar, ex-Sub-Registrar Kotri and Muhamamd Ismail Abro ex-City Surveyor in the same case.
