The nursing school, completed at a cost of Rs40 million with a capacity to train 100 nurses every

Ibrahim said the government was increasing the stipend of nursing students to attract more students to seek admission and adopt the noble profession.

Polyclinic spokesman Dr Tanveer Malik told The Express Tribune that earlier the nursing school was being run in a small rented building in Melody Market on a temporary basis.

“Now it has been shifted to a newly constructed two- storey building,” he said, adding that the nursing school has been established for deserving students to offer them free-of-cost nursing degree.

He said the building will be further extended in the future and the school will be given the status of a college.
