KARACHI:
There has been an overall improvement in the condition of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s MNA Rashid Godil, said Anjum Rizvi, a spokesperson of the Liaquat Naional Hospital. Godil was severely injured in an attack on his car on Tuesday. He is no longer dependent on artificial breathing and was moved from the ventilator last night, said Rizvi. However, his condition remains critical, the spokesperson claimed. Godil is mentally alert yet unable to speak, the official added. Rizvi said that Godil was under the surveillance of an 18-member team of doctors headed by LNH director and neurosurgeon Dr Salman Faridi. Godil will remain in intensive care unit for a few more days, Rizvi added.
