VJ-turned host Faizan Haque was injured in a road accident on Thursday near Nawabshah as he embarked on a road trip from Karachi to the northern areas.

“My cousin, Faizan Haque, had an accident today in Nawabshah, he is unconscious and being treated. Head injury… please pray,” his cousin wrote on Facebook.

Haque along with Anoushey Ashraf were embarking on a road trip all the way up to the Chinese border. The two of them were to make an internet show of their adventures, one that showcases the unexplored landscapes and untold stories from Pakistan.

It is unclear whether the trip will go on or not.

Though the project was conceived about a month-and-a-half ago, both, Haque and Ashraf were so caught up with other work commitments that they couldn’t get on with it.

Both were supposed to start journey together but since Anoushey had a shoot lined up she told him that she would be joining him from Lahore.

“He suffered severe head injuries and now I am on my way to Nawabshah to see what has actually happened. I request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery,” said the actress.

Their itinerary touched upon a number of breathtaking locations and places that define Pakistan quintessentially.

not impressed | 9 years ago | Reply @Imran Qadri: Imran, Faizan was not driving. Besides, I think generally people are more comfortable driving their own vehicles and would not risk their lives especially on dangerous highways. The fact that the airbags didnt deploy is a whole other story.

I am just thinking that had he been driving his own car then he would have been extra cautious compared to a complimentary, fully insured SUV.
