Milestones: Urogynaecological clinic launched

LARKANA: An urogynaecological clinic was inaugurated by deputy commissioner Javed Jagirani during a ceremony at the urology department of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, on Wednesday. Dr Fauzia Chandio, assistant professor of gynaecology, has been appointed as its head. Urology department head Prof Malik Hussain Jalbani said that the requisite clinic is first of its kind in Sindh’s health sector. He said that kidney transplant will also be started, provided all the required facilities are made available, for which he requested Jagirani to extend help. He said that the first international conference will be held in December, in which foreign doctors are expected to participate and discuss urological ailments in the light of latest inventions. Jagirani praised the efforts of Prof Jalbani and said that he talked to Prof Adibul Hasan Rizvi for opening a Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation-like department in Larkana, for which, he will provide required government land.
