According to a statement from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, Indian troops yet again resorted to unprovoked firing in Nikial Sector in district Kotli on Wednesday, killing 70-year-old Nooran Begum, wife Lal Muhammad.
According to the military’s media wing, India has been continuously violating the ceasefire agreement along the LoC and the Working Boundary in Sialkot. So far, as many as 10 people have been killed in over 70 ceasefire violations by Indian forces since July.

Earlier on August 11, 28-year-old woman who was critically injured during unprovoked firing on the civilian population in Jandrot sector along the Line of Control (LoC), succumbed to injuries.
Pakistan has raised the issue at multiple forums including the United Nations Military Observers group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP). On Wednesday, India’s deputy high commissioner in Islamabad was summoned to lodge a protest.
