At least three people, including a minor, were electrocuted in separate incidents in Tank and Nowshera on Tuesday.
A seven-year-old girl received an electric shock at her residence in Wandha Jogi area of the district. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, she was pronounced dead on arrival. In a separate incident, a woman was electrocuted to death in Darki village.
Meanwhile, in Pabbi, Nowshera, Zeeshan Akram received an electric shock when he was working inside his shop in Pabbi Bazaar. Locals rushed him to a hospital but he died on the way there. According to details, Akram was electrocuted by a UPS cable inside the shop.
A day earlier, a lineman from Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) was electrocuted to death in Swabi while trying to fix a technical glitch in the power supply at Tarbela Dam. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shahabur Rehman. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is under way.
