LAHORE: The Walled City of Lahore Authority has appointed four more chobdars at the Lahore Fort. The chobdars have been dressed in the British and Sikh era uniforms. Earlier, two chobdars dressed in Mughal era uniforms were deployed there. WCLA spokesperson Tania Qureshi said the authority had appointed the chobdars to highlight the fort’s past and promote tourism. “This initiative will help visitors better understand the history behind the fort. The chobdars have been given briefings about the history and significance of the fort.” She said they had been deputed at Dewan-i-Khas and Dewan-i-Aam of the fort.
