Releasing fishermen

Letter August 17, 2015
Pakistan government released 183 Indian fishermen who had been jailed in Karachi for more than eight months

TURBAT: Recently, the Pakistan government released 183 Indian fishermen who had been jailed in Karachi for more than eight months. Through this action, the government has displayed that humanity is still alive in Pakistan. This decision can be a harbinger of peace in the subcontinent.

Our government has completed many incomplete families by giving their sons and fathers back to India, bringing joy to many across the border. The Indian government should, in reciprocity, release Pakistani fishermen who are still jailed in India.
