KARACHI: Reappointed Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera has promised to increase training facilities and funds for Pakistan athletes at home and abroad, which will benefit those sportsmen who do not get the opportunity to practice all year round.

“I always believe in working for a cause and my main aim is to take Pakistan sports to new heights,” said Ganjera. “I have ordered the establishment of camps and soon the PSB will be filled with athletes and coaches. Camps for wrestling and wushu have already commenced while others will start from Thursday as the renovation work at the Allama Iqbal hostel has caused some delays,” he added.

Ganjera further thanked Inter-Provincial Coordination minister Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada and secretary Ejaz Chaudhry for reposing confidence in his abilities and for standing by his side during hard times.
