Crime against children: Security guard detained over ‘assault’

FAISALABAD: Police on Wednesday detained a security guard of Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology for assaulting a girl at the hospital. Civil Lines SHO told The Express Tribune the 10-year-old girl had gone to the hospital to visit her grandfather. He said when the girl stepped outside to get water, the security guard tried to grab her. He said the girl called for help and was rescued by some patient’s attendants. They beat up the guard and handed him over to police, the SHO said. He said the guard had been detained. He said a formal complaint had not been lodged.
