NOWSHERA: Awami National Party leader Mian Ifitkhar Hussain said the legacy of Babara massacre victims cannot be forgotten. Addressing a gathering in Nowshera on Wednesday, Hussain said, “Our party’s pioneers Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Abdul Wali Khan and Ghani Khan were all arrested along with their supporters on August 12, 1947.” He said the Khudai Khidmatgar movement organised a peaceful protest which was fired upon by the law-enforcement agencies on direct orders of the governor. “Over 700 people died, including many children,” he said.
