Flood aftermath: 92,000 people displaced in Thatta

The flood level at the Kotri barrage increased to 585,340 cusecs on Wednesday

Around 92,000 residents of the katcha [riverine] areas in Thatta district have been displaced by the flood. The district administration claims to be providing shelter through the relief camps and tents to about 30,000 flood-affected people belonging to 96 villages. The flood level at the Kotri barrage increased to 585,340 cusecs on Wednesday morning while the barrage released over 554,000 in the downstream towards Thatta and Sujawal districts.
