Three policemen killed, one injured in Karachi

Police mobile was stationed at Zaman Town area of Korangi when armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on it

KARACHI: At least three policemen were killed and one injured when unknown armed men opened fire on a police mobile in Karachi’s Korangi area on Wednesday.


Initial details suggest a police mobile was stationed at Zaman Town area of Korangi when armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on it. As a result, three policemen were killed on the spot while one was severely injured.

The gunmen managed to escape and took the police weapons along.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the JPMC, while an investigation has been initiated.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has directed IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali to arrest the culprits at the earliest.
