Festival in Riyadh: Pakistani mangoes to be showcased
Festival to be inaugurated on August 14 by Ambassador Manzoorul Haq to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day
ISLAMABAD:
The embassy of Pakistan will host a three-day food and mango festival in Riyadh which will be inaugurated on August 14 by Ambassador Manzoorul Haq to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day as well as celebrate its food culture. Waseem Hayat Bajwa, Commercial Attache at the Pakistan embassy, said they were organising the 4th Food and Mango Festival at a local hotel in Riyadh. “This year, the beginning of the festival has a special significance as it is opening as part of our Independence Day celebrations,” Bajwa said. He said the food festival would have special cuisines of all the four Pakistani provinces with a mango sweet pavilion, special mango stall, Jalebi and Kulfi. He said the event was open for three days with restricted tickets for the first two days.
