ISLAMABAD:

Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division Usman Ibrahim on Tuesday informed the Senate that the Cabinet Division had set up a committee to consider cases for regularisation of the daily-wage employees of the federal government.

Ibrahim told the Upper House during question hour that cases of 1,436 daily-wage junior lady teachers would be forwarded to the committee. He said the committee would assess every case and recruitment would be done as per the rules.  The minister said that the government had fixed Rs12,000 as the minimum wage for the financial year 2014-15

To another question, he said clean drinking water was being provided to patients and visitors at government hospitals including the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and the Polyclinic hospital.

He said Pims and Polyclinic also had their own deep tube-wells.

He said the Capital Development Authority had also installed water filtration plants at the hospitals, and small filters were attached with every electric water cooler at the hospitals.
