Body of three tourists found

Two of the bodies were fished out of Khan Khwar river while the third body was recovered from River Indus

Bodies of three tourists who had drowned during the recent floods in Khan Khwar River, Shangla were recovered on Tuesday.

An official of Bisham police said residents of the area spotted two of the bodies in the river. “The bodies were identified as those of Javed Bhutto, resident of Larkana, and Shakil, resident of Balochistan.”

The official said they took the bodies for an autopsy and later handed them over to their respective families.

The body of the third tourist’s body was recovered from the River Indus in Shagai area of Torghar district on Tuesday. Body of a fourth tourist is yet to be found.

Over a fortnight ago, five tourists from different parts of the country had drowned when their vehicle plunged into the river. While the body of the driver was fished out soon after the incident, but those of the other tourists could not be located despite a thorough search by the police, locals and army divers.
