'ISI cannot be forced to appear in US court'

Gilani asserts that the government will take all the parties into confidence regarding its policy on the ISI.

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday said that no one can force the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) to appear before a United States (US) court.

Speaking at the National Assembly session, Gilani asserted that the government will take all the parties into confidence regarding its policy on the ISI.

The prime minister also said that foreign involvement is responsible for the unrest in Balochistan.

He also stressed that the parliament will decide if a military operation should be held in any part of the country and will not obey foreign dictates.

GGD | 13 years ago | Reply @Tony Singh.....lol @Akram.....I agree, the ISI if anything, is veyr incompetent. They have clearly failed at their job which is to protect national interests & safeguard the country. If there's anything to prove them incompetent, it would be the fact that they cant even hide the terror activities they export allegedly to our neighbour countries. And also, till this day, there has not been a SHRED of evidence given by authorities on foreign involvement in Balochistan. Talk about credibiility and competency - the ISI fails. I think there should be a complete revamp of our intellignce agency. In fact it would be better if the ISI is just terminated forever. We are better off without one.

There is a lot of current scholarship in the area of the adverse effects of pakistani population on national economies. In ALL cases 99/99 case studies it is proven fact that anywhere pakistanis attain .0000001% of the population, the economy is completely ruined. Also morality goes down, murders go up, and terror goes up markedly. Many experts have concluded that pakistani cousin marriages and incest destroy the brain and create very violent offspring. ISI has created this situation and this is how they get a steady stream of suicide bombers and fidayeen.

Pakistan should use its full diplomatic force to preserve the honor of its state institutions. I am no fan of Army or ISI or their tactics against democracy, politicians or their impulsive dicisions which result in East Pakistan and Kargil tragidies, nevertheless, they are our own and honorable nations protect their own.

When the judgment comes for the plaintiffs, Pakistan government will be held responsible and will have to pay up. Ask the Iranians and the Russians amongst many. You cannot escape the consequences of your dastardly deeds!!

But really its a matter of serious concern. All planned game of RAW and CIA. But our leaders have no courage at all to speak for our Nations' Pride !!

Sympathisers of ISI may say whatver they like.But the truth is ISI is not only incompitent , corrupt and considers itself above the law.Just one example , how many sucide bombings have exploded in Pakistan , can anyone name a single case in which the culprits have been arrested and prosecuted successfully.Now this is what ISIs job is.Now just for instance those who say that its al being done either by RAW or CIA., here is question for them it if it is done by RAW or CIA .then it simply shows how good and best they are at their jobs.and it shows how incompetent ,weak, ISI is if it cant safegaurd this country.This shows only one thing that ISI cant do its professional functions vry well , but when it comes to harrasing the poor civilian public of our unfortunate country.u will see their dirty hands allover

MasoodBazmi | 13 years ago | Reply It is right decision of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani. Why should we have to send our Intelligence Officers to any other country for probing in any trial. Such decision will show the empowerment and stregthening of Pakistan's soveriegnty. I support, appreciate and favour the Prime Minsiter's such decision to air in media. WEll Done Yousuf Raza Gillani.
