Foiled: ANF, Sindh, recovers 40kg heroin

The spokesperson said that the recovered heroin was worth millions of dollars in international market

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Sindh, claimed to have foiled a narcotics smuggling bid on Monday, having recovered 40 kilogrammes of heroin.


According to its spokesperson, ANF officials intercepted a container on a tip-off and brought it back to Pakistani seaport at Karachi from Lagos, Nigeria, and recovered 40 kilogrammes of top quality heroin.  The spokesperson said that the recovered heroin was worth millions of dollars in international market, adding that the drugs were intelligently concealed in 500 plastic pieces. A case has been registered while raids were being conducted in various parts of the country to apprehend the syndicate involved in the crime. Further investigations are underway, added the spokesperson.
