11 killed in road accident near Kalat

QUETTA: At least 11 people were killed and 15 others injured after an oil tanker lost control and crashed into four cars along the road near Kalat in Balochistan on Monday.

According to initial reports, the driver of the oil tanker lost control and crashed into cars on the road near Mangochar area of Kalat district.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for  medical treatment.

Road accidents and related fatalities are a common occurrence in Balochistan due to over speeding and dilapidated roads.

Four children killed in gas cylinder blast

Separately, at least four children were killed as a result of a gas cylinder blast in a house in Touk area of Kalat district.

Further, in another incident, two people died on the spot when a passenger pick up hit a roadside remote controlled bomb in Pehlawo area of Dera Bugti district. Bodies of the deceased were shifted to a local hospital and police are investigating into the matter.
