Highway robbery : Passengers of over a dozen vehicles looted

Police arrest three suspected robbers from forest, recover looted items.

MURREE: A gang of seven robbers looted valuables, cash and other valuables from passengers of more than a dozen vehicles after intercepting them near Murree.

According to police, seven robbers stopped vehicles heading towards Murree near ‘22 Meel’ before going on a looting spree.

The robbers deprived the passengers of cash, cell phones, watches, cash and other valuables before vanishing into a nearby jungle.

The victims alerted the police about the incident
and helped the police locate the fleeing robbers in the forest.

The police made their way into the forest and apprehended three suspected robbers, identified as Sadaqat Hussain, Javed Iqbal, and Khurram Shahzad.

The police also recovered the looted items and weapons from the suspected robbers.

According to the police, search was under way to take out the other members of the gang.

The police said that the robbers were wanted in various highway robbery cases. The police have shifted the arrested robbers to the local police station for further investigation.
