Three 'criminals' escape from city court in Karachi

Criminals were arrested over robbery charges from Nazimabad on Saturday

KARACHI: Three suspected criminals escaped on Sunday from city court in Karachi.

The arrested suspects were brought to city court by the investigation team on Sunday for securing their remand when they broke free and escaped.

They were arrested by Nazimabad police on Saturday, and the police had claimed to have recovered weapons and motorcycle from their possession.

Following the incident, police high-ups suspended and arrested five policemen including Sub-Inspector Javed, ASI Saleem Qureshi and constables Shakir Ali, Mashkoor Hayat and Sajid Hussain over negligence.

A case has been registered against the policemen arrested while further investigation was underway.
