Lights Out : Protest in Mardan takes violent turn
Three people were injured during the clashes that broke out between protesters
MARDAN:
At least four people, including a police official, were injured in clashes when a protest erupted in Mardan on Friday. The residents of Rashakai took to the streets over prolonged power outages. Protesters blocked the road connecting Mardan and Nowshera and shouted slogans against the government. Three people were injured during the clashes that broke out between protesters and police officials and security personnel. A 220kV grid station was also set ablaze and machinery was destroyed on the premises.
