Tragedy Strikes : Father, daughter drown in Swabi

SWABI: A father and daughter drowned in Indus River near Khalo Ghazi in Swabi on Friday. According to detail, Panjpir resident Mohammad Attique’s five-year-old daughter slipped and fell into the river while she was playing along the bank. Attique jumped into the water to rescue her but was also swept away by a heavy current. Rescue workers recovered both the bodies. The deceased were laid to rest in their native village. Earlier this week, a 12-year-old girl and a man drowned in Indus River near Khalo village in Haripur. They were identified as Yohana Bibi and Rehman. Their bodies were found on Wednesday evening.
