The resolution was moved by deputy parliamentary leader Shaukat Yousafzai along with other members’ provincial assembly, demanded the federal government to arrest Altaf through Interpol and bring him back to Pakistan.
“This assembly understands that Altaf’s invitation to India to interfere in Pakistan is condemnable and a letter to the United Nation is regretful,” the resolution said.

It demanded the federal government to register a treason case against him.
Altaf, in his speech on Saturday evening, had blamed the military for creating rifts within the party, and allegedly invited India to intervene in Karachi’s affairs.
The MQM chief had also criticised law enforcement agencies.

Tuesday's resolution follows a similar resolution introduced in the Punjab assembly on Monday.
The resolution calls for prosecuting Hussain on charges of treason. This is the third time since May that Mehmoodur Rasheed has submitted a resolution against the MQM chief.
The resolution accuses Hussain of repeatedly delivering speeches against the state and national institutions, including Pakistan Army. It condemns him for urging India to use force against Pakistan.
It criticises the MQM chief for urging party workers to reach out to international organisations, including the NATO and the United Nations, to intervene in the state’s affairs.
